The RIM IT Specialist will help lead the successful implementation and configuration of an enterprise records management system. In addition, this role will troubleshoot and resolve technical issues that may disrupt records IT processes, optimize IT infrastructure related to the records system, and ensure all aspects of the system are compliant with applicable security standards.
Role Responsibilities:
- Lead a small team of IT and project professionals in executing an implementation plan for integrating an enterprise records management system with other records repositories; created, configured, and managed retention labels, metadata capture classification schemes, and access control in the enterprise records management system.
- Help conduct an inventory of existing electronic information and records for a given agency to include the documentation type, volume, and metadata.
- Work with the project team to address any non-compliant inventories and file plans to ensure a cohesive and compliant transition to the enterprise records management system.
- Customize the enterprise records management system to align with specific client requirements.
- Work with the project team to configure ERM solutions within Microsoft Purview Records Management.
- Work with the applications developer to integrate the enterprise records management system with various APIs.
- Work with the applications developer to use the Microsoft Power Platform to automate and streamline various processes.
- Ensure the enterprise records management solution is configured to support compliance with regulatory standards.
- Work with the project team to configure and implement Microsoft eDiscovery Premium to include an ability to do content searches, create litigation holds.
- Work with the team to create training on using the enterprise records management solution.
- Drive continuous improvement on the project through a variety of methods including but not limited to the use of pilot programs, lessons learned, project retrospectives, etc.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science engineering or management information systems (MIS), or equivalent.
- Minimum of 5 years of IT support experience with a focus on Records and Information Management projects and Microsoft Purview/Records Management Implementation.
- Background investigation required (Secret clearance preferred).

Hybrid Schedule, Savan HQ, Vienna, VA
(50% client-site Washington, DC with annual travel to Fort Worth, TX)
