Job DescriptionAn employer is looking to add a Sr. Accountant to their team in St. Louis, MO. This person will work directly with the controller and assist with the day to day financial/operational tasks. They will train directly with the Controller for the first few weeks and start taking on small tasks once they are comfortable. They will assist with preparing accurate financial statements, reports and forecasts to provide insights into the companys financial status. They will maintain and reconcile balance sheet and general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy in financial records. They will assist with budget preparation and monitor expenditures against forecasts. They will also assist with month end and year end financials, appreciation schedules, and P&L. They will assist with managing all of the money coming in, going out, depositing checks, and applying correct discounts from vendors.Once a job has been sold, they will be responsible for job costing, ensuring that GL codes and line items are matched correctly, and tracking project cost and run rate throughout the project. They will need to analyze each project and understand which sur charges or sales taxes need to be applied.
