What you get to do:

  1. Ensure the uptime of our multi-tenant infrastructure
  2. Work closely with the engineering teams to improve our platforms and eliminate complexity from architecture and processes
  3. Configure and use state-of-the-art monitoring tools to gather insights and then act upon the results
  4. Conduct incident response and in-depth root cause analysis
  5. This position is hands-on, requiring the ability to provide first-level system and network support and problem resolution identification
  6. The candidate would be responsible for monitoring the daily software and network operations in a distributed environment
  7. Also responsible for monitoring, working with users on fault isolation and resolution, as well as system analysis and reporting

Basic Qualifications:

  1. Active Secret Clearance, and a willingness to obtain a TS/SCI with Polygraph
  2. 5 years with a bachelor's degree in an IT field; 9 years in lieu of a degree
  3. Experience with Windows and Linux Server Operating Systems
  4. Experience with VMWare & OpenStack Virtual Environments
  5. Experience with Infrastructure Support

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Active TS/SCI with Polygraph
  2. 3+ years of experience with virtualization technologies (e.g. Citrix XenServer, Red Hat Enterprise Virtualization, and/or VMWare, OpenStack)
  3. Experience in multi-tier storage environments in cloud environments (ceph, vsan)
  4. Experience with front-end processing and network gateway appliances and/or software
  5. Networking experience (e.g. firewalls, switches, etc.)
  6. Hands-on experience with virtual machine environment management tools (IaC)
  7. Knowledge and understanding of KVM Virtualization technologies
  8. Excellent troubleshooting skills
  9. Previous experience with Intelligence or DoD programs, either within the military or as a civilian contractor
  10. Ability to effectively communicate both with customers and technical staff

Salary Range: $107,300 - $160,900

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills, and current market conditions. Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
