The CIB Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) Advisor will be responsible for implementing DEI initiatives and best practices tailored to the needs of the CIB. This role will work with the firmwide Diversity, Equity & Inclusion function, CIB senior business leaders and CIB HR to support line of business DEI priorities, including metrics & accountability, engagement, communications, diversity and inclusion training, consulting and employee diversity networks. The CIB DEI Advisor will be part of the CIB DEI team, reporting to the Head of CIB DEI and Firmwide Employee DEI.

The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker who will bring DEI expertise, project management, analytical skills and communication skills to drive strategies and initiatives in support of the DEI agenda.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Actively plan with business and HR Leaders to develop strategic initiatives, programs, and processes to support overall diversity and inclusion objectives, including operationalizing executive accountability deeper into the organization
  • Deliver field-ready diversity tools and best practices to support the needs of the LoB; ensure integration with relevant people programs/processes
  • Prepare regular executive updates including employee representation progress for the LoB Management Team and collaborate with senior leaders to integrate diversity and equity practices into LoB employment and workplace practices
  • Provide strategic guidance, oversight and support for LoB diversity networks and business DEI councils to ensure their strategies and development of members align with LoB DEI and business needs
  • Partner with cross-LOB DEI Advisors, Firmwide DEI, Communications and other key stakeholder groups to develop and communicate best practices
  • Manage external client relationships related to DEI requests/inquiries in partnership with HR; oversee external client survey DEI data requests and prepare appropriate data/response
  • Demonstrate ability to influence and partner with business leaders to assist in the development and maintenance of a LoB-wide diversity strategy that aligns with business initiatives
  • Partner with HR Experience areas to distribute existing HR products within diverse communities, and advocate for diverse communities’ needs amongst the HR Experience teams

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:

  • Bachelor's/Master's Degree plus extensive experience in DEI, Human Resources, and/or Talent Development
  • Exceptional experience and proven track record in partnering across complex, global organizations and leading a portfolio of work in support of multiple priorities
  • Ability to work independently in a dynamic environment of change, challenge and multiple deadlines, priorities, and stakeholders
  • Business acumen with demonstrated successes operating as a business leader
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including ability to communicate effectively through PowerPoint and other written communications
  • Strong data and analytical skillset with highly tuned Excel, Tableau user, and Qlikview knowledge
  • Demonstrated passion for and experience in the DEI space with an appreciation for the historic and current areas of focus and challenges
