ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES The Master Scheduler is responsible for developing, reviewing, and maintaining the master production schedule to level load production, plan for our Make to Order and Make to Stock strategies, and to release production orders into WIP. It is expected that the Master Schedule will coordinate with production on a daily basis to make sure lead-times, OTD, inventory levels, and customer demand is met

• Develops, publishes, and maintains the Master Production Schedule, balancing inventory, resources, and capacity. Negotiates corrective actions to product schedules when dictated by changes in business

• Work with engineering team to develop and maintain a capacity tool to create clear visibility to out-put constraints and assist sales in the quoting process.

• Review sales forecast and shipment history to develop a build plan per product line that meets revenue needs and limits inventory risks

• Identify risks associated with the build plan to include consideration for expedites drop-ins, sales history and inventory levels.

• Works closely with Manufacturing, Sales, Engineering, Quality, Purchasing and Customer Service to execute the operating plan.

• Responsible for clear communication of master and machine level schedules to the production work centers.

• Creates new scheduling work procedures as needed and reviews/updates existing work procedures on an on-going basis.

• Executes scheduling and work order releases to each department.

• Clearly communicates customer demands to Supply Chain to ensure the timely supply of required manufacturing materials and supplies.

• Analyzes supply levels to demand requirement needs each month and communicate gaps to supply chain.

• Monitor stocking levels for Kanban and safety stock to communicate fluctuations and ensure proper stocking levels to support demand.

• Maintain Master Planning Schedule software up to date and with relevant set-ups to effectively plan all locations.

• Communicate to sales, customer experience and operations lead time s by product category.

• Directly supervises and develops the Planning department to ensure released jobs are moving according to schedule to meet on time delivery and works with Customer Service to ensure accuracy of orders entered and to accommodate schedule change requests.

• Work with Supply Chain resolving MRP and planning constraints.

• Maintain finished good at target levels; assist in hitting inventory turn requirements

• Work as the customer interface for delivery, stocking, and lead-time discussions.


QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s degree in business, Engineering, or related field strongly desired – HS diploma or GED from accredited institution required

• 7+ years of direct scheduling experience using MRP and MPS software.

• High proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

• Ability to professionally and effectively communicate and interface well with others.

• Strong problem-solving abilities.

• Ability to work effectively both independently and in a team environment.

• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
