Head Start Family Service Worker

The job of Head Start Program Family Service Worker was established for the purpose/s of providing support to the instructional program with specific responsibilities for enlisting parental involvement in students' educational programs; working with parents in identifying and achieving goals; accessing support services; creating training programs; and facilitating positive parent, school and student relationships.
Minimum requirements:

• BA or advanced degree in Social Work, Human Development and Family Services, Psychology, Early Childhood Education or related degree
• Access to reliable transportation
• Six months experience with children and families
• Ability to work with computers
• Able to function independently
• Strong organizational skills
• Ability to work collaboratively
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Ability to function in a culturally diverse population
• Ability to work evenings and weekends, as needed
