Full Stack Software Engineer & Machine Learning

Our client, a leading investment manager, is seeking an AI / Machine Learning Engineer to help build and support technology that accelerates their ability to understand the business.

You will help create and support technologies in their IT department and in parallel with different business groups in the firm. You will be responsible for AI / Machine Learning initiatives like LLM, and Artificial Intelligence application development throughout its life-cycle, from concept and design to coding, testing, and maintenance.

You will also play a leading role, as part of a team, to design and deliver enterprise AI and Client solutions to clients using our proprietary AI Machine.

We develop real-time prediction (regression and classification) and clustering systems.

Responsibilities:

1. Develop, debug and maintain AI software applications written in Python and Java on top of AWS but can expand to other platforms.
2. Design Deep AI Models for different types of data (time-series, business data, images, etc.) and different output types (Classification, Regression, Clustering).
3. Investigate the behavior of input and output data numerically.
4. Investigate and optimize models performance.
5. Solving complex problems with multi-layered data sets, as well as optimizing existing machine learning libraries and frameworks.
6. Develop and enhance large language models on proprietary research data.

Experience:

1. High fluency in English is a must since you will communicate and work with team members and clients.
2. Strong coding skills in Python, Java and software fundamentals like Algorithms and Data-structures.
3. Deep understanding of ML algorithms like regression, classification and clustering.
4. Fundamental understanding on NeuralNets and its internals.
5. Deep understanding of model determination and evaluation.
6. GenAI tool like LLM, Langchain etc.
7. Knowledge on deep learning libraries like Pytorch, Tensorboard.
8. Professional enterprise knowledge on AWS-AI platforms like Sagemaker, Bedrock and other clustering applications like ECS or Kubernetes.
9. AI - Software Life cycle from requirements to model, deploy, and inference.
10. Solid knowledge in full stack application development using Java, Javascript, HTML, CSS.
11. Strong foundation of Computer Science.
12. Experience in supporting and managing applications in AWS. Experience in supporting and setting up VPN and OpenVPN.
13. Experience with general system administration in cloud environment.
14. Professional experience in developing application using multi-threading libraries and non-blocking async modules.

Qualifications:

1. Strong problem-solving mindset and ability to develop creative solutions for difficult problems often requiring detailed investigation of the code and data.
2. Interest in learning and coding within an advanced distributed.
3. Strong knowledge of database SQL and relationship designing concepts.
4. Knowledge of scripting language like Python and Bash Scripts.
5. Advanced Algorithm development, should be able to think of designing applications at scale.
6. Knowledge of developing systems in the field of Information Retrieval such as Solr, Redis and other in-memory design paradigms.
7. Ability to project manage, test and understand business requirements.
8. Able to work in a fast-paced agile environment.
9. Knowledge of Continuous Integration systems such as Jenkins and other deployment systems.
10. Shows conviction of belief while maintaining an open-minded nature and humility toward learning.
11. Flexible and able to manage ambiguity and complex problem solving.
12. Excellent interpersonal communication and teamwork skills.
13. Ability to work independently, both under supervision and as a contributing team member.
