Position Title: HR Specialist - Recruitment
Position Summary:
Under the supervision of the Director of Human Resources, this position is responsible for developing and implementing effective recruiting and staffing strategies to attract qualified talent, with a focus on increasing diversity. Successful candidates will have the skill set to create, analyze, and maintain data reports to track recruitment and retention activities in order to make strategic decisions to improve recruitment and retention efforts in the district.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Develops, facilitates, and implements all phases of the recruitment process.
  • Collaborates with department managers to identify and draft detailed and accurate job descriptions and hiring criteria.
  • Schedules interviews; oversees preparation of interview questions and other hiring and selection materials.
  • Identifies and implements efficient and effective recruiting methods and strategies based on the available role, industry standards, and the needs of the District.
  • Assists with the job posting and advertisement processes.
  • Collaborates with the hiring manager and other human resource staff during the offer process, identifying and recommending salary ranges, incentives, start dates, and other pertinent information.
  • Coordinates and participates in college recruitment fairs, job fairs, and recruiting sessions.
  • Establish recruitment and retention plans for diverse staff members, critical shortage areas, and high needs schools.
  • Maintain and analyze recruitment and retention data and use data to develop a comprehensive recruitment plan.
  • Support with anticipated vacancies and develop plans to meet those needs within staffing and budgetary guidelines.
  • Work closely with Principals and Administrators to support retention ideas and efforts.
  • Managing exit surveys and interviews in order to develop strategies for enhancing staff retention.
  • Troubleshooting issues and creating improvements with TalentEd as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business or related field.
  • 5+ years experience in Human Resources, with specific experience in recruiting.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to create and implement sourcing strategies for recruitment for a variety of roles.
  • Proactive and independent with the ability to take initiative.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Familiarity with laws, regulations, and best practices applicable to hiring and recruitment.
  • Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn applicant-tracking software or other recruitment systems. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suites or related software.
  • Willingness and ability to travel and work flexible hours for recruiting fairs and events.
  • Experience utilizing TalentEd and other Human Resources software preferred.
  • Fluent speaker and writer of a second language preferred.
