Job Title: Systems Analyst

Location: Tallahassee, FL

Contract: 12+ months

Overview:

  • We are seeking a highly skilled Systems Analyst with 7+ years of experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will work on large-scale IT projects, including the design, development, and implementation of the new MEPIC system for the client.
  • This role involves working closely with stakeholders to gather requirements, transforming them into functional system components, and leading the technical aspects of the project lifecycle. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and successful project outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, organize, integrate, and implement system requirements, interfaces, jobs, functions, and features.
  • Adhere to FDLE Project Control Processes, Procedures, and Change Control guidelines.
  • Identify and resolve technical issues promptly.
  • Lead the deployment and implementation planning for the project.
  • Provide technical leadership within the project team and collaborate with internal and external FDLE stakeholders.
  • Develop and execute test plans to ensure proper system functionality.
  • Document system designs, code development, and test results.
  • Report project progress and milestones to the Project Manager.
  • Transform requirements gathered during JAD sessions into application components.
  • Coordinate effectively with FDLE ITS staff to support the project.
  • Work closely with OSIS EIS Leadership and MEPIC members throughout the software development lifecycle.

Deliverables:

  • Detailed Technical Requirements Documentation.
  • Application Design Documents.
  • System Security Plan contributions.
  • Documented application components with test scenarios.
  • Recommendations to mitigate identified issues.
  • Application workflow and technical details documentation.
  • Operations & Maintenance Plan contribution.
  • Knowledge transfer to FDLE ITS MEPIC Maintenance Team.

Mandatory Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or related IT fields.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in large-scale IT project design and development.
  • Experience with Angular Framework (preferably version 15+), HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (ES6+), and TypeScript.
  • Strong understanding of UI/UX design principles, responsive design, and web accessibility.
  • Knowledge of state management libraries (e.g., NgRx or Akita) and RxJS for managing asynchronous data streams.
  • Familiarity with build tools (e.g., Webpack, Angular CLI) and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Experience with Springboot, REST APIs, J2EE/Java, JBoss application servers, MS-SQL databases, and JSON/XML.
  • Strong collaboration, communication, and documentation skills.
  • Ability to communicate complex technical designs in non-technical terms.
  • Experience transforming system requirements into technical specifications and programming code.
  • Proven track record of delivering projects on time and within scope.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working on Government, Law Enforcement, or Public Safety IT projects.
  • Master's Degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or equivalent project management experience.
