Job Title: HR Generalist (Contract to Hire)

Location: Lake Forest, CA

Salary: $75,000 - $85,000 per year

LHH is seeking a Human Resources Generalist with Electrical Manufacturing industry experience for a client in Lake Forest, CA.

Position Overview: As the HR Generalist, you will be responsible for managing a wide range of HR activities and ensuring smooth HR operations. While payroll is managed by our financial services department, you will handle all other HR responsibilities, including employee relations, benefits administration, performance reviews, and recruitment. Your role will be vital in maintaining a positive and productive work environment, working closely with both employees and upper management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Solo HR Management: Serve as the primary HR point of contact for the organization, managing all HR functions independently.
  • Benefits Administration: Oversee benefits programs and address employee inquiries related to benefits.
  • Employee Reviews: Coordinate and manage the employee performance review process, including setting up review schedules and compiling feedback.
  • Data Entry: Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records, ensuring compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
  • Recruiting: Collaborate with recruitment agencies to source and hire talent. Manage the recruitment process from job postings to candidate interviews and hiring.
  • Employee Relations: Actively engage with employees to resolve conflicts and address concerns. Facilitate open and productive communication between employees and management.
  • Visibility and Engagement: Maintain a visible presence within the company to foster strong employee relationships and ensure that HR policies and practices are effectively communicated and implemented.
  • Collaboration with Upper Management: Work closely with senior management to address HR-related issues and support strategic initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of HR experience, with a strong background in the electrical manufacturing industry.
  • Skills: Proven ability to handle various HR functions independently, excellent conflict resolution skills, and a hands-on approach to employee relations.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
  • Certifications: HR certifications such as PHR or SHRM-CP are a plus.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in HR software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with employees and management.
