Yamaha has an excellent opportunity for a Sr. Finance & Accounting Analyst to join our YMFC Global Financial Services team in Cypress, CA . The Financial Analyst will assist the Assistant Controller with reporting the monthly, quarterly and annual results to YMC, internal, external auditors and executive management. The Financial Analyst will be a hands-on analyst who is responsible for a variety of high-profile projects which may include assisting with budgeting and creating reports for the accounting team. This role will also be responsible for uploading trial balances received from other Yamaha financial services entities across the globe into the company’s ERP system. In this position, the FA will work with many levels of management throughout Yamaha Motor Finance Corporation.
What you’ll be doing:
- Responsible for gathering and uploading monthly trial balances received from Yamaha financial services subsidiaries to prepare the Consolidated Financial Statements by region and business line.
- Responsible for the accurate and timely preparation and distribution of monthly Consolidated Financial Statements.
- Responsible for monthly, quarterly, and year-end reporting to the parent, YMC Japan, through an upload process in SAP Financial Consolidation (FC). Must be prepared consistently each quarter, with an eye toward constant improvement in the quality and speed of the upload process.
- Prepare monthly roll-forward consolidated by portfolio level, related to Wholesale, Retail, Leasing, and Protection Products and report to executive management.
- Assist in the reporting of budget, forecast and long-range planning or (MTP). Work with subsidiaries to ensure accuracy of information uploaded into SAP. This includes income statement, balance sheet, and working capital.
- Maintain foreign currency index and provide support for any necessary adjustments.
- Customer support (executive team), various ad-hoc requests.
- Special projects as requested.
What you’ll need to be successful:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance/Accounting or equivalent required, CPA preferred.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of finance and accounting related work experience required; preferably with a large multi-national company.
- Strong knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and Generally Accepted Accounting Standards (GAAP).
- SAP knowledge required. SAP (S4 Hana and BI) knowledge preferred.
- Must be highly motivated, pro-active and improvement focused, while maintaining a high-quality work product. Adaptability will be a key attribute for success in this position.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, especially during year-end reporting timeframe.
- Able to work in a team environment. Currently no management of staff.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present or communicate effectively to all levels of management.
- Excellent technical/data mining abilities, proficient in Excel, Access, Business Objects and SAP; Oracle a plus.

Pay Range:
- $95,690 to $168,400
