What You’ll Do

1. Support partnership development between Tempus and the Life Sciences industry by identifying patient cohorts for Tempus’ oncology data licensing business
2. Partner with Tempus’ Pharma Business Development and Life Sciences Strategy & Operations teams to generate fit-for-purpose cohorts supporting pharma research
3. Support monitoring of the volume and profiles of inbound requests, generate analytics in order to gain insights on customer needs, and propagate feedback throughout the organization
4. Maintain code, technical processes, and documentation
5. Support integration of new data sources into feasibility/team operations
6. Mentor and train team members

Qualifications

1. 3+ years of relevant work experience, preferably in an analytical or consulting role within or in support of the Life Sciences or Healthcare industry
2. Strong command of SQL and other scripting languages (R or Python)
3. Experience using Excel, Google Sheets, or equivalent spreadsheet software
4. Experience in oncology, cancer genomics, molecular biology and/or clinical trials, as demonstrated by focus area in school/university, a side project, or previous work experience
5. Experience building client-ready deliverables and other outputs
6. Comfortable working in a client-facing, fast-paced environment
7. Experience working with disorganized data from various sources and translating raw data into practical insights and recommendations
8. Experience with data manipulation, cleaning, and visualization
9. Excellent communication skills with demonstrated ability to communicate with diverse audiences
10. Ability to prioritize work independently, take ownership of deliverables, navigate ambiguity, shift priorities seamlessly, and juggle multiple projects simultaneously
11. Goal oriented, self motivated, and driven to make a positive impact in healthcare
12. Curiosity and willingness to learn skills to elevate the use of automation in commercial operations
