PGY2 AMBULATORY CARE RESIDENCY

The Harris Health PGY2 Ambulatory Care Pharmacy Residency Program is a 12-month program resulting in a PGY2 certificate upon successful completion. PGY2 Ambulatory Care Pharmacy residency programs build on Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) education and PGY1 pharmacy residency programs to contribute to the development of clinical pharmacists in specialized areas of practice. PGY2 residencies provide residents with opportunities to function independently as practitioners by conceptualizing and integrating accumulated experience and knowledge and incorporating both into the provision of patient care or other advanced practice settings. Residents who successfully complete an accredited PGY-2 pharmacy residency are prepared for advanced patient care, academic, or other specialized positions, along with board certification, if available.

PGY2 ONCOLOGY RESIDENCY

The Department of Pharmacy at Harris Health offers a one-year PGY2 Oncology Pharmacy Residency Program. Our PGY2 Oncology residency program builds on the Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) education and PGY1 pharmacy residency programs to contribute to the development of clinical pharmacists in specialized Hematology / Oncology areas of practice. PGY2 residencies provide residents with opportunities to function independently as practitioners by conceptualizing and integrating accumulated experience and knowledge and incorporating both into the provision of patient care or other advanced practice settings. Residents who successfully complete our PGY2 oncology residency are well prepared to provide advanced Hematology / Oncology patient care in both acute and ambulatory oncology care settings, academia, or other specialized positions, along with board certification opportunity.
