We are seeking a dynamic, passionate, and motivated individual to join our Laboratory team as a Junior Laboratory Technician . In this role, you will play a critical part in supporting our laboratory team by performing routine laboratory tasks, assisting with experiments, and maintaining lab equipment. You will work closely with senior technicians ensuring that all procedures are followed, and safety protocols are maintained.
Location: Davis, CA
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Wet lab sample processing, including manual and robot DNA isolation, PCR, library preparation and high-throughput sequencing machine operation
- Assist in daily receiving of packages and samples
- Accurately create, organize, and maintain laboratory data (work with database, LIMS type)
- Sample organization
- Support the general laboratory management, including equipment maintenance, lab cleaning, sample storage, and suppliers/reagents stocks
- Follow GLP and security standards
Job competencies & Personal attributes:
- Professional qualification or degree in biology, biotechnology, biochemistry, or equivalent areas
- At least 2 years of postgraduate experience working in Labpratories (experience with several lab techniques, including, but not limited to, pipetting, DNA isolation, PCR, and gel electrophoresis)
- Experience in high-throughput sequencing is a plus
- Good English communication skills, both written and oral
- Curious and creative in approaching technical challenges
- Organized and structured

- Strong proactivity and problem-solving capabilities
- Work in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment
