Events Manager - Customer Experience, Brand, and Growth
Your role on the team:
At Frontline Education, we are seeking a dynamic and strategic Events Manager who is passionate about delivering exceptional customer experiences and driving our brand, reputation, and growth through innovative event programs. With Frontline's exclusive focus on K-12 and strong market penetration, our customers are also our prospects, making every interaction a key opportunity.
As we evolve our events program to go beyond demand generation, we are positioning this role as a pivotal part of our strategy to deliver strong customer experience (CX) and business growth. This includes driving thought leadership and leveraging both Frontline-owned and third-party events to enhance brand awareness and engagement.
In a dual leadership and execution role, you'll be responsible for leading and transforming our event strategy into a customer-centric program that delivers measurable results aligned with company goals and KPIs. You'll ensure our events maximize impact, supporting retention, growth, and customer experience objectives while strategically positioning Frontline's thought leadership in the market. This position is part of the Marketing department, specifically within the Solution Marketing and Customer Marketing teams.

You can expect to:
- Strategic Event Leadership: Develop, implement, and continuously evolve a scalable and measurable event strategy that drives customer experience (CX), retention, growth, and brand reputation.
- Holistic Event Program Design: Lead and execute Frontline's owned conferences (branded as Frontline Gather), user group events, and participation in key B2B and K-12 industry conferences, ensuring each event aligns with broader business goals beyond demand generation.
- Speaking and Thought Leadership Opportunities: Establish a proactive process for identifying, securing, and executing speaking opportunities to position Frontline as a thought leader in K-12 education technology.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with Sales and the Customer Success organizations to drive the event selection, execution, and evaluation process, ensuring alignment with overarching company goals. Work collaboratively across internal teams on lead tracking, promotion, creative assets, and registration processes.
- Optimizing CX Through Events: Create consistent, high-impact customer experiences at events to enhance brand awareness and drive pipeline generation, while ensuring all events reflect Frontline's commitment to customer-centricity.
- Comprehensive Event Management: Lead the Events Team and oversee all event logistics, including location selection, contract negotiation, budgeting, and timeline management. Ensure flawless execution by facilitating planning meetings and collaborating with internal departments and vendors.
- Measurement and ROI Tracking: Leverage KPIs to measure the success and impact of the events program on customer experience, retention, and growth. Use historical data and real-time performance monitoring to adjust strategies as needed.
- Partnership Development: Proactively collaborate with Partner and Association leaders to integrate partner relationships into the event strategy and drive co-branded success.
- Documentation and Best Practices: Maintain thorough documentation of event details, performance, and historical data to guide future event strategy and decision-making.
- Budget Management: Ensure all events are planned and executed within the allocated budget, maintaining financial oversight throughout the process.
- Integration with Customer Journey: Align event strategies with the broader customer journey, collaborating closely with the Demand Generation team to create cohesive and impactful experiences.
- 6-8 years of experience in developing and executing strategic initiatives, with a focus on engaging customers and managing complex projects. Experience in coordinating conferences, trade shows, or other special events is preferred.
- 1-2 years of experience in leading teams or projects, with a demonstrated ability to build and guide a high-performing team.
- Ability and confidence to drive transformation and change.
- Ability to drive thought leadership initiatives through strategic speaking opportunities and event engagement.
- Expertise in working collaboratively with cross-functional teams to align event efforts with growth and retention strategies.
- Strong event management skills, including logistics, contract negotiation, budgeting, and cross-functional coordination.
- Data-driven mindset with experience in using KPIs to track event performance and ROI.
- Excellent communication skills, with a track record of successfully managing internal and external stakeholders, including senior leadership.
- Ability and a passion for developing the individuals on the Events team to their fullest potential.
- Ability to get results through and with others.
