As a Senior Platform Engineer at RVO Health, you will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and maintaining our robust and secure platform infrastructure

Where You'll Be

To prioritize togetherness, culture, and accountability, RVO Health operates on a hybrid in-office work schedule. We expect employees to work from our Minneapolis office Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday each week. You are welcome to work remotely Mondays and Fridays if you wish.

What You’ll Do

  • Infrastructure Design and Management :
    • Lead the design and implementation of scalable, reliable, and secure infrastructure solutions
    • Provide expert guidance on infrastructure best practices and troubleshoot complex issues
  • Application Containerization :
    • Spearhead efforts to containerize applications, improving deployment consistency and scalability
    • Ensure container security best practices are implemented
  • CI/CD and Deployment Optimization :
    • Troubleshoot and enhance our CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes
    • Ensure smooth, efficient, and reliable software delivery with integrated security checks
  • Platform Integration :
    • Integrate features from various SaaS tools into a unified platform
    • Streamline workflows and improve overall system cohesion
    • Ensure secure integration practices are followed
  • Security Implementation and Monitoring :
    • Implement and maintain security best practices across the platform
    • Collaborate with the security team to address vulnerabilities and implement security controls
  • Cross-functional Collaboration :
    • Work closely with development teams to ensure infrastructure meets application needs
    • Collaborate with security and operations teams to maintain a robust and secure platform

What We’re Looking For

  • Technical Expertise :
    • Strong experience with cloud platforms, particularly AWS and Azure
    • Proficiency in infrastructure-as-code tools, especially Terraform
    • Solid understanding of containerization technologies and orchestration
    • Experience with CI/CD tools and practices, particularly GitHub Actions
  • Security Skills :
    • Knowledge of cloud security best practices and compliance frameworks
    • Experience implementing security controls in infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines
    • Familiarity with security automation and DevSecOps practices
    • Understanding of network security, identity and access management, and encryption technologies
  • Programming Skills :
    • Proficiency in TypeScript and Python
    • Ability to write clean, maintainable, and secure code
    • Experience with automated testing and security scanning tools
  • Monitoring and Observability :
    • Experience with monitoring and alerting tools like Datadog and PagerDuty
    • Strong skills in troubleshooting, performance optimization, and security incident response
  • Leadership and Communication :
    • Ability to provide technical leadership and mentorship
    • Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively across teams, including security stakeholders
  • Problem-Solving :
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
    • Ability to tackle complex infrastructure and security challenges
  • Enthusiasm for staying updated with the latest trends and technologies in platform engineering and security
  • Willingness to pursue relevant security certifications

Pursuant to various state Fair Pay Acts, below is a summary of compensation elements for this role at the company. The following benefits are provided by RVO Health, subject to eligibility requirements.

  • Starting Salary: $130,000 - $168,000*
    *Note actual salary is based on geographic location, qualifications and experience
