- Deliver safe patient care utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
- Provide direct patient care within the nursing scope of practice.
- Direct and guide patient/family teaching.
- Oversee activities of other nursing personnel while maintaining ICU standards of care.
- Be responsible and accountable for the care provided to assigned patients.
- Communicate effectively with physicians regarding changes in the patient's clinical condition, including hemodynamic monitoring, diagnostic study results, abnormal results, and symptomatology.
- Respond quickly and accurately to changes in patient condition and/or response to treatment.
