The SAP Commercial Business Analyst is responsible for support and oversight of the SAP commercial/sales & distribution function. Reporting to the SAP Commercial Lead, the business analyst is a key partner to the Seqirus Commercial business.
With a focus on understanding the business process and translating that into technical requirements, the business analyst will be required to drive both issue resolution and project delivery, including optimization initiatives. This role will also perform a local SAP architect function, partnering with the Commercial & Sales functions to provide consultancy for system and process improvements whilst ensuring that global template standards are maintained.
Responsibilities:
- Understand all site SAP issues and impacts relating to Commercial, Sales, & Logistics business functions.
- Escalate, where needed, to leadership teams, both business and technology.
- Maintain and support the SAP Commercial business systems.
- Coordinate SAP support resources & point of escalation for critical issues on site.
- Document issues through the Service Desk process; The BA team will own the issues through to resolution.
- Resolve the issue and document changes.
- Document Functional & Technical Specification documents for technical teams to resolve issues.
- Work closely with SAP technical teams to define & implement solutions.
- Define & implement testing strategies with business users & owners.
- Prepare changes for change approval board.
- Coordinate SAP AMS contract resource workload to ensure contract resources are working on correctly prioritized issues & changes.
Partner & influence site Commercial / Sales / logistics Leadership in developing strategic application roadmaps. Expert in Seqirus' global Commercial processes – ability to influence business teams. Solution architecture leadership for regional change requests. Identify system & process improvements & optimization initiatives through their expert knowledge. Document new requirements – an eye for detail and empowered to challenge. Work with SAP & Applications steering team to prioritize changes – through the Demand management process. Consult and share ideas for optimization of processes and technology – influence IT & SAP leadership.
Facilitating Commercial business functions to prioritize optimization initiatives. Working with other SAP Global Function teams to ensure alignment with other business cross-functional requirements and priorities are captured. Working with the PMO to implement enhancement projects. Managing projects through to implementation. SAP upgrades & Commercial /Sales/logistics module strategy - Work with business and SAP leadership to develop 3-year plans for Commercial module enhancements. Working with the business, PMO, and leadership team to plan and implement SAP upgrades. Planning, Testing, issue resolution of the changes. Training of users; there will be a requirement to provide small group training on existing and new functionality.

Minimum Requirements:
- Experience of an SAP Global pharma business.
- Able to work remotely whilst keeping in close communication with the remaining SAP Commercial team.
- Self-starter and able to communicate effectively – willingness to learn new module and get involved in areas outside primary role.
- SAP Configuration and support.
- Core specialty: Sales & Distribution (SD).
Preferred Experience:
- Logistics Execution (LE).
- Material Management (MM).
- S&OP processes.
- Ability to work independently and with others to gather and document business requirements, perform business analysis, and develop solutions.
- Liaise with third-party providers.
- Develop best practices, operational procedures, and design documentation as an SAP Commercial SME.
- Ensure that requests are responded to in a timely manner.
- Monitor the performance of systems in the area of responsibility – manage vendors through service management.
- In-depth knowledge of core Pharma Commercial processes & practices within a regulated business.
- Effective Pharma Commercial knowledge transfer to a Global business to facilitate optimization initiatives.
- Technical understanding of ABAP, user exits, BAPIs, and BADIs – Able to debug code.
- Understand EDI integration support – IDoc and partner profile support.
- Ability to articulate and influence the strategy and optimization opportunities to all levels within the Seqirus Commercial business.
- Proficient in SAP SD Order to Cash and Intercompany Sales.
