Our client is seeking an experienced Employee Relations Specialist to join their dynamic HR team to support their organizational objectives and help foster a positive workplace culture. This is a temporary role that has potential to extend based on company needs and performance.

Description

  • Employee Relations Management:
    Serve as the primary point of contact for all employee relations matters, addressing workplace issues, resolving conflicts, and ensuring compliance with company policies and applicable employment laws.

  • Policy Interpretation and Guidance:
    Provide advice and guidance to managers and employees regarding HR policies, procedures, and practices to ensure consistency and fairness across the organization.

  • Investigations and Conflict Resolution:
    Conduct thorough investigations into employee grievances, complaints, and disputes. Facilitate the resolution of employee conflicts, ensuring timely and fair outcomes while mitigating legal risks.

  • Compliance and Risk Management:
    Ensure compliance with labor laws, company policies, and best practices in employee relations, particularly in the financial services sector where regulations are stringent.

  • Disciplinary Actions and Performance Management:
    Work closely with managers to develop performance improvement plans, and guide them through disciplinary actions in accordance with company policy and labor laws.

  • Data Reporting and Analytics:
    Track and report on employee relations trends, issues, and outcomes. Use data to identify potential risks or areas for improvement in employee engagement and satisfaction.

  • Training and Education:
    Develop and deliver training programs for management and staff on employee relations topics, including workplace conduct, conflict resolution, and compliance with employment laws.

Profile

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in employee relations, preferably in the financial services industry.
  • Strong understanding of labor laws, employment practices, and compliance requirements within the financial services space.
  • Proven ability to manage complex investigations and mediate conflicts effectively.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive matters with discretion.
  • Proficiency in HRIS systems and data analytics tools is a plus.
