Join TotalEnergies Renewables USA, LLC as a Regional Solar Site Manager spending time at our utility scale solar farms in Texas. This is a new addition to our team as we are strengthening our presence in renewable energies.

The successful candidate will ensure the optimum performance on HSE, technical and operational aspects of the power plants while managing O&M contractors and supporting commissioning activities. This position will be based in the Dallas, TX area with 100% presence on sites in the area and report to the Senior Operations Manager.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Undergraduate Degree in engineering or technical diploma/high school diploma and five (5) years’ experience in a related industry
  • At least three (3) years previous experience in supervision of technical, O&M personnel in Solar
  • At least 10 years of operations and maintenance experience
  • In-depth knowledge of HV substation equipment operations and solar power generating equipment and technologies.
  • Experience/good understanding of LOTO procedures and Electrical Safe Work practices.
  • NFPA 70E QEW for LV and HV would be a plus.
  • Experience with SEL, GE protection relays and RTAC would be a plus.
  • Sungrow, SMA and SiemensGamesa inverters certification would be a plus. Experience on Energy Storage and wind renewable energy a plus.
  • Superior communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal.
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills, capable of leading efficiently and outperforming assigned objectives.
  • Familiarity with the content of PVSYST a plus.
  • Excellent organizational skills demonstrated by clear and effective project plans and executive level reporting that ensure timely action and decision making in time-pressured scenarios.
  • Microsoft office (excel, word, power point)
  • Previous experience with CMMS tool (SAP PM) would be a plus.
  • Willingness and ability to be fully on site and rotate between the sites in the Houston Area
  • US work permit and valid U.S. driver’s license.

Responsibilities:

  • Enforce Total Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) policy in all his/her responsibilities and ensure that external third parties (O&M/EPC contractors, vendors, consultants) operate in a manner acceptable to TotalEnergies HSE standards.
  • Manage the day-to-day operation, maintenance, and administrative activities for multiple large scale solar and BESS generation sites mainly in the Houston region.
  • Supervise site personnel including O&M contractors and equipment vendors to ensure adherence to and compliance with contractual obligations, corporate policies, and best industry practices.
  • Give support and oversee 3rd party O&M contractor in equipment troubleshooting, maintenance and operations to ensure maximum safety and efficiency.
  • Maintains good relations with landowners, suppliers, customers, vendors, service providers, governmental authorities, and contractors.
  • Assist with the development of internal operating policies, standards, and procedures.
  • The position consists of 70% work outdoors and 30% work indoors, outdoor work may expose the employee to weather conditions.
