Financial Auditor - (6+ Month Assignment)
Location : Manhattan, NY 45 th /Park Ave (on-site 3 days a week)
Rate: 60-75hr.
We are looking for a candidate with 2-5 years of audit experience to work on financial, operational, and compliance-type audits.
Need a temp to support the department's completion of its Board-approved Annual Audit Plan. This individual will assist in completing control testing for various audits.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Assist in conducting audits and reviews including assessing risks; evaluating internal control design and effectiveness; executing audit programs, work plans and performing fieldwork, testing and data analysis.
Ensures compliance with established internal control procedures by examining records, reports, operating practices, and documentation.
Prepare work papers and reports consistent with audit plan procedures with a high level of technical accuracy, grammatical accuracy, and structure in adherence to the department's procedures and methodology.
Provide updates to management on the status of assigned work, including immediate communication of any issues or challenges.
Communicate effectively with all stakeholders.
Ability to work in a team environment as well as independently.
Specific Skill Set:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Proficient in MS Office Suite. Intermediate-level use of MS Excel.
Data analytics tools (e.g., Qlik Sense, SQL) are preferred but not required.
