Job Description
Employed Positions. Hospital-owned physician practices treat them as if the MD is the owner. They negotiate a salary based upon MGMA figures, which is paid to the physician monthly. At the end of the year, the physician receives 100% of the profits of the practice – as he would if he owned the practice. They do not charge a fee for running the practices. The physician also receives full benefits including paid malpractice, benefits package, relocation, and CME allowance. Residents that want to make an early commitment will receive a monthly stipend to help with expenses through the duration of training.
