Responsibilities

  • Lead the development of controls architecture; design and analyze new circuits, develop programming for new & replacement electromechanical equipment.
  • Investigate automating new & existing equipment for repetitious tasks in pressure testing, waterblasting, Hydrocutting and Hydrodemolition.
  • Define product specifications and set functional requirements of newly developed products.
  • Head outside engineering projects and consultants utilized to accelerate development timeline.
  • Create and develop validation testing of new designs in conjunction with test facility technicians.
  • Contribute to the development and production of all electric unit designs, including selection of hardware, electric motors, VFD’s, and any power electronics required for high voltage units.
  • Investigate and develop Off-Highway Electrification strategies for Jetstream pumping units.
  • Lead research and integration of new technologies, conduct brainstorming sessions, advocate for the incorporation of telemetrics, automation, and electrification of Jetstream products.
  • Provide technical support to field service in solving controls, software, and electrical problems.
  • Perform other duties, assignments, and special projects as required by Engineering Manager.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering, required.
  • Minimum seven (7) years’ developmental engineering experience in similar position, required.
  • Experience with data acquisition & data analysis.
  • Knowledge of industrial Voltage wiring and design.
  • Proficiency in model-based controls development.
  • Experience working with I/O language, controllers, controls logic design, and automotive networks such as CAN/LIN.
  • Experience with JD Edwards ERP is preferred.
  • Ability to work without supervision.
  • Ability to develop detailed wiring schematics for manufacturing and assembly.
  • Ability to lead PCB, controls, and software development and testing.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Must be willing and able to travel up to 10%.
  • Familiarity with Engineering Administration, including issuing new Part Numbers, ECO’s, revision control, etc.
