The US Benefits Leader will have responsibility for leading and developing our US health, life, wellness, paid time off, and retirement programs in alignment with the organization's strategic objectives of attracting, retaining, and engaging talent. This position will report to the Head of Global Benefits, and function as a subject-matter expert, working collaboratively across all areas of the organization to drive benefits and well-being strategy.
Based in our Irving Headquarters on a hybrid remote schedule and leading a hybrid remote team, the individual will:
- Develop and implement strategies and programs to promote employee wellbeing, including the areas of mental, physical, financial, and social wellbeing.
- Work in collaboration with other countries and Head of Global Benefits to develop a strategic roadmap for US benefit and wellbeing programs that align with a global benefits philosophy.
- Lead a team of US Benefits resources to effectively administer all US benefit programs.
- Develop team members by defining roles and responsibilities, understanding the strengths and weaknesses of each team member, delegating tasks effectively, promoting collaboration and providing opportunities for growth.
- Manage relationships with external consultants, brokers, auditors, and benefit vendors including coordination of contract renewals, plan changes and service issues.
- Collaborate with consultants/brokers to conduct benchmark analysis to identify industry trends to provide competitive and coherent benefits aligned to our benefits philosophy.
- Design and implement communication programs to enhance the value of benefit programs and increase employee understanding and engagement. Provide clear and concise information about the financial implications of benefit choices, helping employees make informed decisions.
- Provide leadership and be responsible for the compliance and execution of the US Benefits Committee, and present to various benefits committees and forums as required (e.g., US Benefits Committee, Global Benefits Committee).
- Partner with the Finance team to manage and evaluate the cost of all insured and self-insured benefits programs to optimize our global benefit plans cost and performance.
- Work with legal, IT Governance and Data Privacy to ensure all plans remain in compliance with legal and governance standards.
- Ensure compliance with all federal and international legal and disclosure requirements such as COBRA, HIPAA, and prepare and file required legal reports. Maintain benefit plan documentation including plan documents and policies.
- Partner with key internal stakeholders such as HRBPs, HR Operations, HRIS team members, Internal Communications, Legal, Finance, Tax, Payroll, and various Committees to ensure efficient plan administration and excellent customer service to employees.
Basic Job Requirements
- Accredited four (4) year degree or global equivalent in applicable field of study and twelve (12) years of work-related experience or a combination of education and directly related experience equal to sixteen (16) years
- Subject matter expertise in leading US H&W, Disability, Leave and Retirement benefits
- 7+ years of supervisory experience including US and benefit teams
- 10+ years of experience managing consultants and vendors including the implementation of new health and welfare and retirement vendors
- Proven history of developing and implementing successful benefits strategies at a senior level
- In-depth knowledge of benefits laws and regulations, including ERISA, HIPAA, and COBRA
- Excellent analytical and presentation skills
- Strong knowledge of financial concepts, including budgeting, cost-benefit analysis, and return on investment.
- Demonstrated strong written and verbal communications skills
Salary Range
135,000 to 250,000
