The Finance Business Process Owner is a critical leadership role responsible for defining and optimizing finance processes and information systems, ensuring alignment with the organization's strategic objectives of Soufflet Malt Americas. As a champion for Continuous Improvement and Internal Control, the Finance BPO will leverage their expertise in Change Management and Risk Management to identify process improvement and automation opportunities, implement best practices, and validate technology solution design that enhances finance operations and ensures compliance. This includes analyzing end-to-end processes in all businesses and functions that generate impacts in Finance, including OTC, PTP, CTC, RTR, Inventory management, etc. The Finance Business Process Owner will act as a strategic business partner to the Finance and other functional and operational leaders, leading or contributing to cross-functional teams, driving, and overseeing business transformation initiatives. It will require close collaboration with the IT team, particularly its Business Relation Managers, other functions, and Regional BPOs. This role will be integral to shaping our finance processes and systems in a dynamic and evolving business environment.


Essential Functions

  • Evaluate and enhance existing finance operations and systems for improved performance and efficiency.
  • Information Systems: define configuration requirements, conduct testing, and validate fixes and new features that impact finance processes. Take ownership of managing finance master data.
  • Develop and comprehensive improvement plans for finance information systems (e.g., ERP, Adaptive Insights, Power BI) and monitor their implementation.
  • Lead the revamping of the costing methodology and oversee the integration of these changes within the ERP.
  • Revisit key processes to automate, and accelerate, while maintaining adequate internal controls (Purchase to Pay, Payroll integration…)
  • Enhance data management practices to support accurate and timely financial and management reporting.
  • Champion of continuous improvement initiatives in finance and across the company, leading to operational efficiency and non-quality tracking.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive training plans for the finance team to enhance their proficiency in using software and tools.
  • Regular interactions with support functions in the French holding company, ensuring alignment and collaboration across the global organization.


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • 8-10 years of diverse experience in distribution and manufacturing industry.
  • Proficiency in Financial reporting processes and processes impacting financial reporting.
  • High proficiency with ERP systems and a thorough understanding of cost accounting principles.
  • Excellent project management skills with proficiency in project management tools and methodologies.
  • Deep understanding of internal controls, risk management, foreign currency, and commodity risk management.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication skills, both in writing and verbally.
  • Adaptability and flexibility in a changing business environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance.
  • Demonstrated experience in manufacturing and distribution sectors with multiple locations, multi-currency environments, accounts, and reporting requirements.
  • Key user experience for ERP. Experience with Microsoft Dynamics (D365) is a plus.
  • Proven planning and time management skills and ability to prioritize both strategic and day to day requirements.
  • Experience with Continuous Improvement & Change Management Methodologies (Lean Six Sigma, ADKAR)
  • Self-motivated with a high level of initiative.
  • Demonstrated ability to act in a consulting capacity.


Working Conditions

Typical standard office environment most of the time, may visit a production facility, warehouse, or farm on occasion.

Must be able to wear of required personal protective equipment and adhere to all safety protocols.

Standard office hours, with flexibility to accommodate different time zone.

Comfort in an open office and collaborative workspace.

Hybrid work model minimum 50% in office per week and more if required.


Job Type : Full-time

Pay: $89,530.31 - $134,295.47 per year
