Duties and Responsibilities:
- The Program Coordinator is responsible for the overall administration of all aspects of a comprehensive sport program for students, including:
- Intramural Sports: Planning, administration, and assessment of programs serving thousands of students annually.
- Sport Clubs: Administration and oversight of a 26 sport team program serving over 750 students daily.
Intramural Sports Duties:
- General programming administration, league and playoff scheduling.
- Development of new programs for the student population.
- Student staff development and management.
- Contributing to policy and procedure development.
- Managing sports equipment and facility scheduling.
- Increasing marketing and outreach to the student population and campus partners.
- Supervising programming on evenings and weekends.
- Performing administrative duties, including program and incident reports.
Sport Clubs Duties:
- Overall administration and oversight of the sport club program.
- Collaboration with stakeholders to strengthen sport clubs.
- Development and implementation of strategic plans and policies.
- Risk management and emergency response coordination.
- Financial management, including budget development and monitoring.
- Staff management and scheduling.
- Assisting in marketing sport clubs.
Additional Duties:
- Managing student payroll and office responsibilities.
- Representing the office at various functions.
- Assisting with campus recreation programs.
- Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Education and/or Work Experience:
Bachelor's degree in a related field and at least two to three years of related experience preferred.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Education, Recreation, Sports Management, or related required.
- Master's Degree preferred, with relevant experience.
- Desire to work in a student affairs environment.
- Programming experience at the collegiate level preferred.
- Knowledge of computers and related software.
- Ability to communicate effectively, organize tasks, and manage stress.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, evenings, and weekends as needed.
Certificates/Credentials/Licenses:
- Valid Driver's License.
- American Red Cross CPR, First Aid certifications (preferred or obtain upon hire).
Computer Skills:
- Familiar with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Fusion experience or ability to learn.
- IM Leagues experience.
