A Day in the Life

AppLovin is seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Analyst to support global payroll operations. In this role, you will ensure the accurate and timely processing of payroll for employees across multiple countries while maintaining compliance with local, regional, and global regulations.

As a Payroll Analyst, you will collaborate closely with the Finance and People (HR) teams to ensure payroll accuracy and integrity. Your responsibilities will include processing payroll data, resolving discrepancies, and assisting with payroll-related matters. You will also play a critical role in completing month-end/close-related tasks.

The ideal candidate will have experience in payroll operations, a solid understanding of multi-jurisdictional payroll regulations, and proficiency with payroll systems such as Workday, ADP Workforce Now, and other global payroll platforms.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the processing of payroll for employees across multiple countries and jurisdictions, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Audit payroll data to ensure compliance with regulations and internal policies.
  • Resolve payroll discrepancies and respond to employee inquiries.
  • Assist with payroll tax filings, audits, and reporting to ensure statutory compliance.
  • Collaborate with Finance and People (HR) teams to streamline payroll processes.
  • Process payroll for US entities, including data entry, reconciliation, and validation.
  • Handle off-cycle manual payroll calculations and audit timesheets.
  • Monitor integrations between Workday HRIS and external systems.
  • Support month-end close tasks and perform account/benefits reconciliations.
  • Assist with other payroll-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across multiple departments and global teams.
  • Extensive knowledge of payroll functions, including preparation, balancing, internal control, and payroll taxes for a multi-state organization.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to deliver results quickly and accurately.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and process, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance.
  • Ability to build relationships and collaborate across People Ops, Finance, Accounting, Legal, and other teams.
  • Experience thriving in a fast-paced, hyper-growth organization.
  • A strong desire to help others.
  • Proficiency in multiple payroll systems, HRIS, and financial systems.
  • Preferred experience with Workday HCM/Payroll.
  • Proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets.
  • Experience working with external payroll vendors and service providers.
