Network Operations Analyst

The opportunity

As part of a 24/7/365 operation, this is an office-based shift role.

Shift patterns are based on 8-hour shifts, 5-day work week.

Responsibilities

  • Monitoring infrastructure components on-premise and in the cloud
  • Jointly with a team provide 24/7 operational services
  • Ability to resolve incidents within SLA timeline including automate and improve existing processes
  • 1st Level support for issues related to network infrastructure and devices including switches, routers, firewalls, load balancers, access points, etc.
  • Manage third party vendors, including Telco, to resolve incidents in a timely manner.
  • Perform daily network health checks and basic maintenance plans
  • Interface with local country network team and various technical teams on incidents and service requests
  • Troubleshoot operating system problems and determine the cause of system interruption
  • Configuration and maintenance of the DNS

  • Reduce the P1/P2 incidents by proactively monitoring and regular health checks of the network infrastructure.
  • Increase reaction patterns/models and decrease risks exposure handling incidents and events
  • Faster onboarding of new tools and processes by better use of automation
  • Assist Infrastructure/DevOps/Application teams covering 24/7 monitoring and basic troubleshooting

What we are looking for

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology/Computing or related field with at least 2 years of working experience in IT field preferably in managing network infrastructure and security operations.
  • Solid experience in supporting complex network environments consisting of data network, security on-prem and cloud infrastructure.
  • Strong knowledge in routing and switching technology, such as BGP, OSPF etc.
  • Strong knowledge in various network security technology and systems including firewalls, IPS, load balancer, proxy.
  • Solid experience in routing and switching platforms, security platforms across different vendors:
    • Cisco networking
    • Palo Alto, CheckPoint, Fortigate firewalls
    • F5 Load balancer
    • Azure Cloud
    • Zscaler
    • Aruba
    • SDWAN infrastructure
  • Strong hands-on experience on end-to-end management; troubleshooting and problem-solving skills across multiple platforms in a complex network environment.
  • Familiar with ITIL processes – Incident, Problem, Change etc. – experience on ServiceNow tool would be beneficial.
  • Good team player, excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Basic knowledge on scripting and automation is a plus
  • Cisco, Palo Alto, Checkpoint, MS certification desired but not required.
