About the agency:

They are seeking a dynamic and experienced Content Marketing Manager to oversee content strategy for their clients and manage a team of content creators. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional leadership skills, a strong background in content creation and strategy, and the ability to drive content initiatives that align with client goals.

Responsibilities:

  1. Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and manage a team of content creators, providing guidance, feedback, and support to ensure strategic, high-quality content marketing. You’re able to find new ways to innovate on existing templates and continuously feed ideas into the company playbook to improve the team’s output and quality.
  2. Strategic Leadership: Lead and manage the development of persona-driven strategic SEO content, website copy, ad copy, case studies, and white papers, aligning them with audience needs and markets for measurable impact.
  3. Content Creation and Brand Development: Produce messaging and positioning frameworks, as well as written content consistent with the client's brand voice, style, and tone, representing the company's values and priorities.
  4. Performance Analysis: Analyze content performance across the marketing and sales funnel, identifying trends, and making recommendations for optimization and new content creation.
  5. Collaborative Content Development: Partner cross-functionally to craft content that meets business objectives, collaborating with clients, subject matter experts, SEO, ABM, CMO, creative and paid media.
  6. Market and Competition Insights: Track market trends and competitors to develop content addressing the evolving landscape, conducting content gap analyses to determine necessary content.
  7. Execution and Oversight: Translate strategy into action, leading multiple vendors, contractors, and cross-functional partners in developing SEO-driven content that drives targeted audience traffic.

Our Ideal Candidate:

  1. Deep B2B Content Expertise: Over 8 years in writing, content creation, and planning; 2+ years in content marketing for enterprise B2B SaaS companies; 2+ years in content strategy and program management with demonstrated experience in managing writers and editors. Ability to write concise copy for sales collateral, websites, white papers and blog posts that simplifies technical and complex topics and makes them easy to understand.
  2. Customer Lifecycle Marketing Expert: Expert familiarity with digital customer experiences and the buyer’s journey. You’re able to develop a research-backed content strategy, editorial calendar, and distribution plan to support the customer at each stage of their journey.
  3. Excellent Cross-Functional Collaboration: Ability to partner effectively with clients and various teams including design, web development, ABM, SEO, and sales.
  4. Leadership and Communication: You have strong leadership, communication, and presentation skills, with experience managing a team of contract writers and editors. You hold your own in a room full of executives, and effortlessly earn your seat on the table to command direction, and authority into your functional expertise.
  5. Strong SEO and Analytics Experience: Proficiency with SEO trends, organic ranking, keyword research, and SEO tools like Google Analytics, Google Search Console and SEMRush.
  6. Creative and Entrepreneurial: You have a creative mind with keen attention to detail and an entrepreneurial spirit with a marketing “superpower” to leverage for immediate value. You are focused on adding value to every touch point, process, project as well as a systems and process-thinker who loves creating order out of chaos.
  7. Technical Proficiency: Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Suite (experience with HubSpot is a plus).
  8. Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent in business marketing, communications, journalism, or related fields.
  9. English: Must be a native speaker.
