Job Title: Sr. Procurement Consultant

Location: Chicago, IL 60604, Hybrid on Tuesday - Thursday (flexible)

Duration: 3 Months (Possibility of conversion depends on performance)

Work Hours: 40 hours/week, M to F, 8:30 am - 5 pm CST

Responsibilities:
  1. Lead and manage critical global strategic sourcing and procurement projects within the Business Services spend category (>$500M annual spend).
  2. Lead strategic sourcing events by collecting, analyzing, and presenting data and recommendations to various management levels, providing insights on opportunities, risks, and prioritizing software investments.
  3. Handle contract and price negotiations across the Marketing, HR, Print, and Business Services & Applications categories.
  4. Act as a thought leader and potentially lead the Business Services Procurement team.
  5. Oversee Category Management, including category spend analytics, multi-year strategic sourcing roadmaps, and educating the enterprise on markets, suppliers, and trends.
  6. Collaborate with suppliers to enhance value and drive innovation.
  7. Influence and improve global policies, programs, and processes.
  8. Manage RFx processes (Request for Proposal, Request for Information, Request for Quote) including project management, development, negotiations, and awards.
  9. Draft and review contracts, including NDAs, Master Agreements (SaaS, Software License Agreements), Service Level Agreements, and Statements of Work. Lead contract negotiations across various Risk Control functions (Legal, Privacy, Risk) and manage ongoing contract administration.
  10. Support supplier adherence to contracts, manage supplier performance reviews, conduct supplier scorecards, and explore supplier rationalization and demand management opportunities.
  11. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements (e.g., OFAC, FCPA), conduct spend analysis, and manage client relationships.
  12. Present procurement performance metrics and project updates to senior management.
  13. Analyze overall business and financial performance of potential and existing suppliers.
  14. Establish and maintain relationships with key partners, provide education on policies/guidelines, and resolve purchasing issues.

Qualifications:
  1. Bachelor's Degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or Finance with 7+ years of experience in sourcing or procurement, focused on indirect sourcing; or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
  2. MBA or other advanced degree and professional Procurement/Supply Chain Management designation (e.g., CSCP, CPM) are highly preferred.
  3. Strong knowledge of supply chain management and procurement.
  4. Excellent analytical, sourcing, negotiation, and communication skills.
  5. Proficient in MS Office Suites with advanced Excel skills.
  6. Experience with ERP systems (Peoplesoft) and Source to Pay (Coupa).
  7. Proven success in time management, project management, attention to detail, and organizational skills.
