Sunwise Auto Group is looking for an experienced Automotive Sales Manager to join our growing and expanding team within our dealership group. Our stores include BMW Concord, Audi Concord, Weatherford BMW/MINI of Berkeley, BMW of San Rafael, and Marin Subaru in San Rafael.

The Automotive Sales Manager helps lead a team of sales professionals to deliver exceptional value and satisfaction to our customers on a continuous basis. Helps plan, train, lead, and monitor the performance of sales advisors and support staff to promote 100% customer satisfaction and revenue growth in line with targeted business and financial objectives. This management position is responsible for the sales operation, which includes both the employees' experience as well as the experience for our clients. Responsible for running a successful operation which includes the development of talent and the overall sales production and profitability of the department.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Hire, train, and develop a team of automotive salespeople while demonstrating leadership and motivation
  • Coach salespeople on standard methodologies for closing deals and provide mentorship to improve sales performance
  • Set sales goals, track progress, and lead team to achieve and exceed those quotas
  • Forecast future sales and produce reports for management to review
  • Partner with General Manager to plan and run vehicle inventory and day-to-day operations
  • Create enriching relationships while assisting customers in selecting a vehicle by asking questions and listening carefully to their responses
  • Manage CRM platform to retain customers and explain product performance, application, and benefits to prospective customers
  • Describe all optional equipment/products available for customer purchase
  • Perform high-quality, professional, and knowledgeable presentation and demonstration of new/used vehicles
  • Learn to overcome objections, close sales, and perform all other steps of the sales process in accordance with company standards
  • Provide training and support to the sales staff and assist in closing deals
  • Assist in running controllable expense elements for the department
  • Oversee all activities occurring on the sales showroom
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Minimum 3 years automotive sales management experience, dealership a plus
  • Complete understanding of how to desk subprime car deals as well as prime deals
  • Solid sales competencies with knowledge of strategies and best practices
  • Leadership skills with a real passion for training fellow employees
  • Enthusiasm with high energy throughout the sales workday
  • Goal-oriented, friendly personality, especially when negotiating pricing
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving capabilities
  • Quality customer service, communication, computer, and basic math skills
  • Clean driving record & valid driver's license
  • F&I experience a plus
COMPENSATION:
The Sales Manager Position has a Pay Scale consisting of the following elements and ranges. Wages include Base Salary Compensation of $5,550.00. The position may also pay a production bonus based on individual or team performance that may range from $0.00 (if baseline benchmarks are not met) without any fixed upper limit
  • Annual Pay Range: $66,600 - $180,000 (annual average $130,000-$180,000). This position pays salary plus monthly bonus. Lots of income potential, strong & loyal customer base!
