We are looking for candidates who have End of Line Equipment (cartoners, Case Packers, Palletizers, and general plant automation).

Job Summary

The Sales Manager of the End of Line and Automation Division will oversee and lead the activities of the Division.

Duties/Responsibilities

  1. Work closely with the manufacturing site located in Toronto, Canada and Sales Management.
  2. Travel to companies and businesses to sell End of Line equipment and factory Automation.
  3. Perform machinery demonstrations.
  4. Constantly improve product knowledge.
  5. Travel throughout assigned territory to call on regular and prospective customers to solicit orders or talk with customers.
  6. Take orders and assist in arranging delivery of products.
  7. Assist customers in making preparations to receive the machinery, based on knowledge of company’s requirements and manufacturing department’s production and delivery schedules.
  8. Assist Service Department in arranging setting up of machinery and recommend solutions to product-related problems.
  9. Manage and develop new customers while maintaining existing sales within assigned customers and a given sales territory.
  10. Provide sales reports.
  11. Review monthly sales report with management to determine if goals and objectives are being met.
  12. Perform other duties as assigned.
  13. Participate in trade shows.
  14. Act as company representative at trade association meetings.

Supervisory Responsibilities

  1. Build nationwide sales organization for End of Line and Automation Division in line with Company’s business development plan.
  2. Train regional and local sales managers and staff.
  3. Work closely with Agents and provide them with all required support.
  4. Organize and oversee the schedules, territories, and performance of regional and local sales managers.
  5. Assign territories and set quotas for sales teams.
  6. Provide leadership to the sales team.
  7. Motivate and encourage sales team to ensure quotas are met.
  8. Review and analyze sales and operational records and reports; use data to project sales, determine profitability and targets, and identify potential new markets.
  9. Identify and analyze customer preferences to properly direct sales efforts.
  10. Consult with potential customers to understand their needs; identify and suggest equipment, products, or services that will meet those needs.
  11. Resolve customer complaints, staffing problems, and other issues that may interfere with efficient sales operations.
  12. Collaborate with executive leadership to develop sales quotas and strategies.
  13. Prepare sales budget.
  14. Conduct performance evaluations that are timely and constructive.

Required Skills/Abilities

  1. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  3. Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
  4. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  5. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

Education And Experience

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Business, Business Administration, Engineering related science, or related field, OR
  2. Comparable record of sales leadership experience required.
  3. At least ten years of machinery sales experience required.

Physical Requirements

  1. Fit to spend prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  2. Fit to travel extensively.
