Job Requirements / Description

Essential Functions

  • Lead the transformation of accounting processes and systems to enhance operational efficiencies, ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance with regulations.
  • Collaborate with various departments to lead corporate accounting projects, implementing best practices and addressing unique accounting issues.
  • Effectively plan and manage accounting projects, including implementing new processes, systems, and technologies to streamline operations and improve data integrity.
  • Identify and mitigate risks associated with transformation projects while fostering a culture of continuous improvement within the accounting department.
  • Manage unclaimed property and related filings, review internal process documents for accuracy, and provide recommendations for improvement.
  • Participate in month-end close activities, general ledger reconciliation and review, and provide comprehensive supporting documentation for audits.

Qualifications - Education, Experience, Skills and Other Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field.
  • Five (5) years' experience in a corporate accounting position, preferably in the hospitality, food service/food and beverage, or airport industry.
  • Technical proficiency in GAAP and IFRS; SAP experience preferred.
  • Project management skills and excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
  • Intermediate to advanced technical competence with Microsoft Office Suite and the ability to establish and maintain eligibility to work in the United States.
  • Ability to travel ~5% within the US and Canada, including overnight extended stay, and pass criminal background and security clearances.
