We are currently looking for a Resident Engineer with construction experience in the New York City Metro Area within the rail transportation (NYCT, MNR, LIRR, PATH, Amtrak, NJ Transit) and infrastructure industry. The successful candidate is required to have a good understanding of the construction industry in the New York City Metro Area and experience working on public agency projects.ResponsibilitiesThe successful candidate will have a proven record of leading construction inspection staff for infrastructure and transportation projects in the New York City Metro AreaThis position entails all typical duties of a resident engineer with an inspection/office engineering staff, as well as project management on behalf of infrastructure clientsPlans, organizes, and supervises engineering and construction inspection activities for major transit projectsServe as the senior representative for the inspection of contractor construction activities, payments, processing and negotiation of claims and change ordersSupervise a staff of personnel consisting of engineers, inspectors, project control, office engineers, project administrators, and specialty sub-consultantsLeads progress meetings and interacts with client on a daily basis.
