Job Requirements / Description

We’re currently seeking a talented Data Analyst, who will be housed in the Solutions department and will report to the Program Manager. This will be a full-time position and the Data Analyst is expected to work on-site at our office in Downtown Los Angeles.


Supervisory Responsibilities:
None

Essential Functions:
  1. Manage and Coordinate Activities Necessary for the completion of a project (50%)
  2. Collaborating with internal and external Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to identify and understand their analytical needs and translate these into impactful solutions.
  3. Assist Project Manager to support complex projects - develop and implement project plans, obtain and manage resources necessary for successful project completion.
  4. Point of contact for clients and vendors regarding key business issues as they relate to analytics.
  5. Identifying the development needs for the purpose of streamlining and improving the operations of the organization for efficiency.
  6. Developing and maintaining quality relationships with clients.

Data Processing, Reporting & Analysis (40%):
  1. Providing data reporting, analytics, and visualization in support of client's business needs.
  2. Analyzes data and evaluates results to choose the best solution and solve problems.
  3. Determines recommendations to be taken based on the applicable information.
  4. Create processes to maintain data, develop methods of analysis, and perform complex analyses of datasets.
  5. Following systems of quality control and checking on all projects assigned.

Research (10%):
  1. Research new technologies - recommend and implement technological solutions to meet business needs.
  2. Providing input to project managers and senior leadership concerning potential process and design improvements related to technical developments in the data analytics field.
  3. Performing miscellaneous job-related duties as necessary.

Required Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
  1. Requires ability to review problems and propose innovative solutions, which involve technical, operations, and economic issues, and may link new concepts and technologies.
  2. Must clearly and concisely communicate technical and non-technical information and concepts with various levels of management and stakeholders in both formal and informal settings.

Education and Experience (Required & Preferred):
  1. Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Statistics, Mathematics, Information Management or equivalent training and/or experience in large data examination.
  2. 1-2 years’ work experience with data analysis, examination, development, including some experience with tabular and time series data manipulation and analysis.
  3. Experience with business intelligence analysis and data mining.
  4. Working knowledge of MS Excel, data warehouse and design, SQL Server Reporting Systems, Business Intelligence, financial or analytic statement analysis and effective data mining.
  5. Solid understanding of basic statistical concepts, trends and analysis.
