Compensation
$24 per hour
Job Summary
Provide the superintendent and/or project manager with accurate cost/theoretical quantities and maintain sub/supplier coordination tentatively to the CPM schedule.
Main Responsibilities
- Provide information on task progress
- Occasional review sub contracts for items/exclusions
- Implement weekly quantities
- Review plans and specifications
- Check with agency on item pay or help resolve if a potential claim is on the horizon by reading the project special provisions and plans
- Review progress of schedule by passing information on materials and subs on the schedule to the superintendent
- Perform other duties as assigned
Education
Working towards a degree in Construction Management, Technology or Civil Engineering or like degree.
Skills
- Basic math skills with ability to calculate and analyze data
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Good organizational skills
- An intermediate level knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (especially Excel-using formulas, charts, graphs)
- A tendency to take the initiative
- The ability to work well with all levels of the organization
- An attitude for making continuous improvements of department processes
