Job Title: Marketing Manager
Reports to: Vice President of Business Development
Department: Business Development
Location: 808 Timberlake Road, Fairmont, MN 56031 (Hybrid or Remote Office)
* Candidate should live within driving distance of our Fairmont, MN office, as occasional travel is necessary.
Position Summary: The Marketing Manager will oversee the development and execution of critical functions within the marketing department. This role involves managing campaigns, optimizing marketing efforts, and ensuring alignment with company goals and sales initiatives. This individual will acquire in-depth knowledge of Kahler products and services and must demonstrate a proven track record in crafting and implementing effective marketing strategies.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Lead an effective marketing team and develop both strategic and tactical marketing plans, balancing long-term vision with practical execution to achieve business objectives and drive growth.
  • Leverage in-depth knowledge of Kahler products and services to create, execute and manage marketing campaigns across various channels, including digital, print, and social media.
  • Manage the optimization of marketing campaigns using HubSpot, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and effective tracking of performance metrics.
  • Collaborate with the sales, product development, and other teams to execute effective marketing campaigns.
  • Work cross-functionally to create and manage sales aid materials, including sales catalogs, product literature, and product videos, ensuring they align with brand and sales objectives.
  • Manage key marketing functions to ensure that information and support for programs are effectively delivered and maintained.
  • Develop an annual marketing budget, aligning with company growth objectives, brand-building requirements, and overall brand image support. Oversee the selection and management of vendors, maintain relationships, and manage budgets.
  • Keep informed of industry news and emerging trends, providing management with insightful reports and recommendations.

Education/Experience: Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing or equivalent from four-year college or 3 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience with development of aligned B2B marketing strategy is preferred. Experience managing promotion campaigns within the agribusiness sector specifically targeting large ag retailers, cooperatives and/or distributors is a plus.
  • Experience performing strategic market analysis
  • Experience with marketing of engineered projects as well as SaaS solutions.
  • Experience coordinating activities related to trade show exhibitions and industry influencer events as well as designing promotional elements associated with these events.

Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Office software that includes PowerPoint, Word and Excel along with Adobe Creative Cloud tools that include: inDesign, Acrobat and Premiere Pro. As well as basic graphic design, photography, audio and video production.
Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
Math Ability: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
Language Ability: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to effectively and clearly write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees in the organization.
