YOUR MISSION:
As the Apparel Product Line Manager, you will be responsible for leading the vision and alignment of apparel across our Ambassador team. You will work closely with our partners and global brand team to bring multiple collections of apparel to life within each season, all while maintaining documentation and hitting our go to market milestones. Your role is crucial in guiding the partners through what is possible with Puma apparel and continuing to push the world of Puma apparel forward.
- Work closely with ambassador team across multiple Business Units and categories to develop new apparel product concepts to bring the Ambassadors vision to life through the lens of Puma, balancing ambassador vision with business requirements.
- Manage the product creation process from brief to production in collaboration with Design and Development to ensure product calendar and GTM milestones are met.
- Solution oriented, flexible, and decisive decision making. Can actively seek solutions within a given framework. Anticipate roadblocks and create solutions with Design and Development teams.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with the team across functions including design, product management and marketing.
- Facilitate alignment of footwear, apparel and accessories.
- Maintain flow of communication with external and internal partners for product feedback and sign off in a timely manner.
- Represent Puma with confidence and professionalism both internally and ambassador-facing when required.
- Work with suppliers and factory teams to identify and develop new product opportunities.
- Maintain all product documentation and reporting systems throughout the product lifecycle (GTM documents, product management systems, etc.).
- Ability and flexibility to travel as needed, both domestically and internationally.
YOUR TALENT:
- Bachelor’s Degree, 2-4 years’ experience in the fashion, sportswear or casual sports lifestyle space, specifically in apparel.
- Team player mentality: highly flexible and open minded.
- Deep understanding of what streetwear and luxury fashion consumers are looking for in the market; knowledge of the lifestyle market and high fashion trends; ability to translate those trends into product briefs.
- Is an effective presenter to internal and external audiences, key accounts, senior leadership, etc. Able to handle objections and deliver competent and convincing messages. Understands how to navigate internal department relationships.
- Consistently demonstrates ability to communicate effectively with professional maturity and discretion.
- Owns daily tasks, seasonal timelines, sets priorities effectively, requires minimal supervision or direction.
- Shows ownership and accountability; acts as a decision maker; results oriented approach. Demonstrates leadership in the team.
- Deep understanding of product cost and how to negotiate with vendors and suppliers to help improve cost and margin.
The Hiring range base pay for this position is $66,560 - $100,300 + Bonus + Benefits.
