TAX MANAGER

Location: Colorado Springs, CO

Compensation: $98,000-$127,400 per year

What We’re Looking For:

  • 5+ years of tax experience in public accounting/professional services firm
  • CPA license
  • Bachelor's degree required; Master's in taxation preferred

What You’ll Be Doing:

As a Tax Manager at Stockman Kast Ryan + Co you will manage client engagements, from tax planning through the review of a variety of tax returns, as well as coach and supervise other tax professionals. You will have the opportunity to serve as the primary client contact for a variety of engagements, while developing an expertise in one or more specialized industries. You may also represent the firm through community involvement and events.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Proven technical proficiency in preparation and review of complex tax returns for partnerships, corporations, and individuals
  • Ensures compliance with all applicable authorities while minimizing tax and reporting burdens
  • Identifies when research is needed; frames issues to be researched; and reports the analysis
  • Assists with developing, recommending, and implementing methods to maximize client benefits
  • Applies tax knowledge and industry insight to recommend solutions
  • Develops an in-depth understanding of technical and practical issues in various taxation areas
  • Introduces and develops new or improved ideas to enhance client and firm positions
  • May train and mentor staff on specialization areas and research skills
  • Consistently suggests improvements to work products and processes
  • Performs other duties as assigned
