POSITION SUMMARY
The Solution Architecture Manager is responsible for overseeing the design, development, and optimization of software applications. They lead a team of solution architects ensuring the successful delivery of projects, and driving innovation and efficiency throughout the entire software development lifecycle. The ideal candidate has a robust technical background, excellent leadership and communication skills, and experience driving the successful design and delivery of software.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Leads and manages a team of solution architects, providing guidance, coaching, and support. Cultivates a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
- Fosters a culture of continuous learning and professional development within the team.
- Oversees the process of designing, developing, and implementing scalable and integrated technology solutions that meet business needs.
- Assists team in defining system architecture, ensuring architectural integrity, consistency, and compliance with best practices and standards.
- Establishes and enforces solution architecture governance processes and standards.
- Promotes modern agile work processes to solution architects and ensures delivery meets business requirements and delivers expected customer value within timelines.
- Drives innovation and improvement by promoting adoption of new technologies, tools, and methodologies.
- Assists in managing the work of multiple scrum teams, including planning, risk mitigation, resource forecasting, and delivery.
- Drives operational efficiencies through oversight of continuous improvement/lean initiatives relating to business software applications systems.
- Manages third party providers, defining work, drafting Statements of Work (SOWs), monitoring performance, evaluating results, and tracking cost and timelines.
- Manages creation and updates to system documentation in accordance with regulatory, financial, legal, and departmental requirements.
- Develops standards, policies and procedures to guide architects, developers, and technical support personnel.
- Manages the application development budget, tracks expenses, and optimizes resource allocation to maximize productivity.
- Collaborates with adjacent managers, agile delivery leads, product owners, and business stakeholders to establish clear communication channels and ensure alignment on project goals and delivery timelines.
- Performs additional duties as directed.

- Ability to identify opportunities that lead to operational improvements and/or savings.
- Experience in budget management and resource allocation.
- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and changing environment.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in related field (Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Security, etc.)
- 8 or more years of Solution Architecture or Development experience
- 2 or more years of relevant IT supervisory/management experience
- SaaS and business-to-business application experience preferred
- Google Cloud Platform experience preferred
