Job Summary


As a Resident District Manager (RDM) , you will be our main contact for the client and oversee the team and operations. You will plan and direct activities to meet goals in a changing environment while maintaining client relationships and supporting our mission.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead, manage, and encourage a complementary team at a large account, striving to deliver flawless service to the client, students, and community.
  • Drive and develop self and team towards building lasting relationships with the client(s) and achieving key performance indicators (profitability, safety, employee engagement, etc.).
  • Collaborate with the district leadership team and engage in continuous discussions with colleagues to exchange standard methodologies, address potential risks, promote diversity, and nurture a sense of community.
  • Ensure decisions are weighed for risk/reward and short/long term implications while gathering input from team members and partners.
  • Cultivate a culture of visibility, understanding, education, safety, and accountability at the account long-term.
  • Represent the brand within the district and community; attend key client and community events.
  • Meet or exceed client needs, retain the account, find cross-sell opportunities, and assist in the rebid process as directed.
  • Support functional areas of operation, including but not limited to safety, marketing, nutrition, and culinary.
  • Ensure adherence to local, state, federal, and company policies, and conduct unit audits to ensure conformance for key areas (e.g. food storage, sanitation).
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable meal and retail programs, following mentorship and completing all required reports on time.
  • Champion development within the account; conduct performance evaluations, and succession planning, and have a full understanding of all roles within the operation.
  • Lead the financial results for the account, working with leadership to ensure accuracy for reporting, forecasting, and budgeting processes.
  • Ensure consistent and fair administration of all policies and procedures.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, with a minimum of three (3) years of management experience, preferably in food service, hospitality management, plant operations management, environmental services, laundry, or other Support Services area.
  • Proficient in all aspects of food service management with a consistent record of success.
  • Consistent record of leading a business and a team, strong customer service, and good business and financial proficiencies.
  • Strong initiative, critical thinking, ownership, communication (listening, written, and verbal), multi-tasking, prioritization, and organization skills.
  • Champion the inclusive approach, and be proactive, positive, professional, and resilient.
  • Excellent computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and POS software.
  • Occasional travel required in this position.
