  • Responsible for the planning and implementation of Life Enrichment Activity program at the residence. Regular Responsibilities include design and scheduling or activities, coordinating with outside organizations to provide activity to support and deliver activities to the residents that meet all quality measures. Supervises all Drivers and onsite life enrichment personnel.
  • Provides direct supervision of all life enrichment personnel and drivers to include hiring, training, coaching, staffing, performance evaluations, advancement, and related supervisory duties as well as acting as manager on duty responsible for overseeing the day to day operations of the residence as required by the needs of the facility; provide guidance to staff on the impact of life enrichment regarding Residents’ quality of life and training all staff on life enrichment programs and philosophy for the residence to include Memory Care training if applicable.
  • Develops the monthly life enrichment calendar that meets residents’ needs and company expectations including providing one-on-one programming for residents who cannot participate in a group setting.
  • Coordinates the transportation of residents to and from outside events to include driving company vehicle when required.
  • Monitor budget, equipment, and supplies to ensure that the activity schedule can be completed successfully.
  • Assists Sales Director with the planning and delivery of community events or activities at the residence.
  • Recruits, trains, and supervises all volunteers for life enrichment programs.
  • Provides direct supervision of all associates involved in life enrichment programs while participating in support of the activity, including onsite driver in transporting residents to and from outside events.
  • Design physical layout and decorations for activities, displays, and other life enrichment products that meet company standards.
  • Responsible for designing programs to help meet the physical, social, mental, emotional, and spiritual needs of the residents.
  • Provides direct supervision of all associates involved in life enrichment programs while participating in support of the activity, including onsite driver in transporting residents to and from outside events.

Education/Experience

  • Must possess, as a minimum, a high school education or its equivalent.
  • Certification as required by the state.
  • Prefer prior experience in AL, IL or SNF. Prefer one-year prior experience in an activity related position. Resident care philosophy with a focus on providing the highest level of quality service and professional interaction.

Specific Requirements

  • Must possess class C driver’s license.
  • Must demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age-related needs of the residents served.
  • Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel and the general public.
  • Must have patience, tact, cheerful disposition and enthusiasm, as well as be willing to handle residents based on whatever maturity level at which they are currently functioning.
