Standard BioTools is looking for motivated Benefits Analyst to add to our Global Benefits team. This full-time, hybrid position will have a heavy focus on US employee benefit programs. You will provide expertise in benefits administration, compliance, and plan design, ensuring our benefits programs are competitive, cost-effective, and in compliance with applicable regulations.
Essential Duties:

  • Assist with design, implementation, and day-to-day administration of benefit programs, including health & welfare benefit plans, 401(k) plan, and other employee services
  • Support annual benefits open enrollment planning and execution. Help develop effective communication strategy to educate and reach diverse employee population
  • Advise and counsel employees and dependents on day-to-day benefit-related questions (via email, phone, walk-ups, and drop-in sessions)
  • Partner with finance, payroll, HRIS, legal, and vendors to effectively and efficiently perform all aspects of benefit program management, including ensuring accuracy of benefit deductions and streamlining current processes and procedures to ensure proper data flow to relevant parties
  • Assist with provider premium billing statements and resolve any discrepancies
  • Review and resolve carrier discrepancy reports
  • Keep abreast of policies, legislative changes, and legal requirements, such as ERISA, HIPAA, and the Affordable Care Act to assist with plan compliance efforts.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned
Qualifications:
  • 2+ years experience in benefit plan administration
  • Strong analytical skills to effectively assess and interpret benefit plan data
  • Aptitude for maintaining and troubleshooting system integrations and reporting
  • Proficient in using Workday Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS), benefits administration software and benefit vendor systems
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate with all levels of the organization, explain benefits programs to employees and liaise with benefit providers and partners
  • Knowledgeable of benefit regulations and compliance requirements to ensure all programs and processes meet legal standards
  • Organizational skills to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines
  • Proficiency in Excel
  • Position occasionally requires the ability to work extended hours or weekends when needed
