Job Description

ITW Global Brands is seeking a dynamic and experienced Manager to lead a technically strong team of IT professionals supporting business-critical applications for four US-based Divisions within the Automotive Aftermarket organization of ITW. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing IT systems, implementing strategic technology initiatives, project management, and providing leadership to a team of IT professionals. As a key member of the IT department, the Business Applications Manager plays a vital role in the stability, reliability, security, and efficiency of business-critical applications while ensuring alignment with business goals.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all aspects of J.D. Edwards E1, Business Intelligence, Mobile Barcoding, and Forms solutions.
  • Manage internal and external resources to support day-to-day operations and projects.
  • Work with managers and business leaders to identify business needs and incorporate them into business systems strategy.
  • Coordinate upgrades to JDE E1 and business system software applications.
  • Work with the team to troubleshoot day-to-day operational issues, identify root causes, and implement solutions to mitigate recurrence.
  • Create functional and technical specifications and direct development teams to complete projects.
  • Ensure JDE functional support and training is provided to end users and promote efficient use of software.
  • Lead/participate in Core Teams and host frequent meetings to review issues, documentation standards, and common procedures.
  • Fulfill data requests utilizing available tools.
  • Maintain disaster recovery plan for all business applications and coordinate periodic testing of the disaster recovery process.
  • Maintain system development standards and ensure adherence to standards.
  • Lead a variety of projects in support of business systems and ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and meet the agreed-upon performance requirements.
  • Identify, lead, and develop talent to maximize individual, team, and organizational effectiveness in meeting company goals.
  • Additional related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Information Technology related field or equivalent work experience.
  • Proven experience managing and leading a team of direct reports.
  • Strong understanding and experience supporting business-critical technical environments.
  • Cultivate a high-performance culture through effective leadership and team development.
  • Experience in deploying, supporting, and optimizing a leading business intelligence tool.
  • Experience working with business leaders and functions, demonstrating a strong track record of success in understanding business needs and delivering solutions.
  • Proven attention to detail with high-level problem-solving skills.
  • Proven ability to complete complex projects and meet aggressive deadlines.
  • Experience providing support to manufacturing and distribution environments.
  • Extensive project management experience, leading multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Can be based out of one of the following office locations: Houston, TX; Solon, OH; Lakeland, FL; or San Luis Obispo, CA. A U.S.-based remote work environment may be considered for this position.
  • 10 - 30% travel may be required.
  • Experience with JD Edwards E1, barcoding software, EDI technologies, AS400, and WinTel-based systems.
