Position Description
Job Title: Chief of Staff
Classification: Administrator III
Department: President’s Office
Salary Range: $6,563 - $21,066 per month (Hiring range depending on qualifications, not anticipated to exceed $16,700 - $20,300 per month)
Appointment Type: At-Will
Time Base: Full Time
Work Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, occasional early morning, evening and/or weekend hours.

Job Summary
The Chief of Staff provides high-level strategic support to the President, serving as a principal advisor on policy development and strategies to accomplish the University’s priorities, goals, and objectives. This role requires a proactive, strategic thinker with strong ethical standards.

Essential Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university. A minimum of five years of high-level project or program management experience. Experience working for a high-level executive in a complex work environment, preferably in higher education.
Preferred Qualifications
Master’s degree and experience working on executive-level projects within an academic setting.
License/Certifications
A Valid California Driver’s License.
