The Car Wash Technician is responsible for performing work for the Car Wash Division. Performs work referred to as "car wash" for all Beck facilities and to outside customers. This work covers all work related to the car wash equipment including tunnel washes, roll over washes and hand bay equipment and the delivery and setup of car wash chemicals. There will be times that this person will work in other departments as required.
He or she plays a key role in enabling the Beck organization to operate efficiently by performing day to day facility maintenance and installation operations efficiently and smoothly
Duties and Responsibilities
- Communicates with the Car Wash Supervisor on assigned projects so that he has a good understanding of the nature and priority of the project.
- Follows the daily project schedule developed by the Car Wash Supervisor.
- Performs the assigned tasks in an efficient and competent manner.
- Maintains communication with Car Wash Supervisor as frequently as necessary to deal with day-to-day issues that affect efficiency and utilization.
- Communicates with the Requestor on project status.
- Submits Daily input of timekeeping, recordkeeping, and billing functions within the time schedule required by Beck procedures.
- Works with the Car Wash Supervisor and Purchasing to plan the amounts and delivery dates of parts and materials for the project, if necessary
- Keeps any jobsite inventory in a neat and orderly manner.
- Completes accident reports completely and accurately, if necessary.
- Maintains friendly, cooperative relationships with other Beck personnel and customers.
- Participates in safety programs as required by Beck procedures.
- Complies with company policies and procedures.
- Upkeep of company provided tools, vehicle, and other equipment.
- Other duties as assigned.
- 2 years of varied general maintenance experience and specific experience in the car wash industry, HVAC, robotics, hydraulics, plumbing, electrical.
- Willingness to "roll up his sleeves" and do what is necessary to get the job done.
Physical Demands and Environmental Condition Requirements
Occasional: Use of hand and foot controls, balancing, stooping, kneeling, squatting, exposure to atmospheric conditions, moving mechanical parts, electrical shock, high exposed place, and explosion hazards.
Frequent: Standing, walking, driving, lifting, and carrying up to 90 lbs., climbing, forward bending, reaching, use of hands and fingers, exposure to weather, noise, and vibrations.
