US PA Lock HavenFull TimeR7429Job Function:The primary role of the Utilities Manager is to manage the Utilities operational and maintenance activities, and provide guidance and support to ensure a safe reliable operation. Requires daily interaction with operational and maintenance personnel, along with raw water and waste water operations. Instill safety, environmental and reliability practices within the department, and build the First Quality culture within the department.Duties and Responsibilities:Manages Utility operation activities to minimize downtime and control cost, and ensure consistent support to the production departments```{=html}``` - Leads morning team meetings, covering site safety, operational and maintenance initiatives and upcoming activities. - Expected to travel as needed to train and collaborate efforts at other FQT locations - Partner with counterparts at other FQT sites to share common practices - Support start-up operations for FQT sites - Maintains departmental budget and develops rolling forecast budget - Manages chemical usage and continuous improvement - Reviews downtime and equipment performance trends and opportunities, develops and implements action items as needed for problem resolution - Owns capital project and/or equipment improvement projects - Ensures all personnel training plans are developed and actively being pursued. - Ensures all local, state and federal documentation is current and readily accessible. - Maintains, audits, and updates as needed, SOP's and inspections for the department ensuring process conditions and measurements are defined, documents, and shared with operators. - Ensure teams are auditing critical process parameters on a daily basis```{=html}``` - Assist Maintenance Planner/Supervisor in resolving any product specification and BOM issuesExperience/Education Required:Minimum of five (5) years' experience in manufacturing industry preferred with steam and water generation, and waste treatmentPost High School training or classes preferredPersonal computer skills including data entry in spreadsheet formats are neededAdvanced operational and technical knowledge of boiler operation, raw water and waste water operation. Readily accesses, understands, uses, and suggests improvements in operational, maintenance, and reliability practices within the area.Must be able to use technical drawings, machine schematics and manuals in daily work.Must follow and enforce written procedures and guidelines, good verbal and written communication skills.Individual must be self-motivated, and able to work to complete assigned multiple tasks in short time frames, and work well with others under time pressures.Follow all safety guidelines and identify areas for improvementFirst Quality is committed to protecting information under the care of First Quality Enterprises commensurate with leading industry standards and applicable regulations.
