**Job Title:** Registered Nurse
**Job Specialty:** Labor and Delivery, Postpartum, NICU / Neonatal ICU
**Job Duration:** 13 weeks
**Shift:** Rotating/3x12s
**Guaranteed Hours:** 24 per week
**Experience:** Minimum of 1 year clinical experience required
**License:** Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state of Colorado or from a valid compact state
**Certifications:** Basic Life Support (BLS), Neonatal Resuscitation Provider (NRP), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
**Must-Have:** Ability to obtain necessary computer skills within 90 days, proficiency in English
**Job Description:**
- Responsible for caring for antepartum patients, laboring patients through childbirth, recovery, and postpartum
- Provide lactation education and assistance
- Deliver family-centered care, including care for well newborns and those in the Level 2 Nursery
- Collaborate with providers, staff, and other team members to achieve optimal patient outcomes
- Oversee daily patient flow to optimize care, safety, and satisfaction
- Triage incoming patient requests for services
- Deliver patient education to facilitate care planning and promote wellness
- Delegate care appropriately and according to state statute
- Exhibit competent healthcare assessment, prioritization, and critical thinking skills
- Manage high telephone volume for patient requests regarding medications and information
- Administer medications, perform treatments, and assist in procedures following patient safety guidelines
- Coordinate patient care with other practices and facilities as needed
- Work independently with minimal supervision
- Deliver excellent service through Relationship-Based Care, advocating for safety and patient preferences
- Role model the principles of a Just Culture and Organizational Values
- Perform other duties as assigned while being HIPAA compliant
