The College of Arts and Sciences is seeking (1) an experienced Department Budget Analyst in the Department of Psychology - Regents Center for Learning Disorders (RCLD). This position will be responsible for analyzing and reviewing budget requests, ensuring accuracy and compliance with established policies and procedures of Georgia State University.

HERE IS WHAT YOU WILL DO

The College of Arts and Sciences is seeking to hire an experienced Department Budget Analyst. This position will be responsible for managing budgets; creating and reviewing purchases and purchase orders; entering data into and reporting on data within data systems; operating using Georgia State University systems, including Panthermart; and working collaboratively with RCLD staff, the RCLD director, psychology department staff, and college of arts and sciences staff. The essential duties and responsibilities of the Department Budget Analyst are as follows:

  • Manages and coordinates data entry into various RCLD databases, including reviewing the processes in place with staff members. Coordinates data retention and disposal as appropriate.
  • Manages both of the RCLD's budgets, processing all expenditures and revenues on two accounts, submits monthly financial reports to the Director, advises the Director on all financial matters, and maintains knowledge of all the University's financial systems.
  • Assists with conferences, training, and travel arrangements for staff. Works with staff for reimbursement, as appropriate.
  • Maintains property/equipment maintenance records, manages service contracts for leased equipment, and calls for maintenance when necessary.
  • Coordinates inventory and ordering for all psychological tests and office supplies.
  • Reallocates funds between budget lines and budgets and submits quarterly expenditure reviews.
  • Conducts quarterly budget amendments, compiling data needed for planning and preparing the budget, including forecasting.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Management or related field and four years of related experience; or a combination of education and related experience.
