Description:
Commercial / OTR Tire Tech General Description:
Perform alignment and Tire service for commercial vehicles and large equipment, inside shop and outside roadside and customer yard work.
Commercial / OTR Tire Tech Duties Include:
Inspect vehicles using commercial TIA standards and Advise customer and or management of necessary repairs.
Align front ends and suspension systems, using alignment equipment
Drive service truck to customer locations and requested road service calls.
Raise and lower vehicles safely, with hydraulic or floor jacks.
Safely operate all shop machinery, including but not limited to safety cage, spreader, balancer, floor jacks or lifts, air powered tools, torque wrench and/or torque sticks.
Safely operate all service truck machinery, including but not limited to all shop machinery, boom and hook.
Read work orders thoroughly and perform all listed tasks.
Perform general housekeeping duties.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Commercial / OTR Tire Tech Physical Demands / Work Environment:
Lifting: Frequent lifting over 50 pounds from ground to chest high.
Frequent squatting, bending, and twisting.
Repetitive motion.
Sustained vibrations.
Standing for extended periods of time.
Read ticket and perform work listed; write confirmation and recommendation.
Environment: Work in an environment that is not climate controlled. Temperatures range from extremely hot to extremely cold, depending on the season.
Vision (Near, distance, Color, Peripheral, Depth Perception).
Sense of sound (Alarms, horns, and motorized equipment).
PPE: Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) (Safety Glasses, gloves, safety harnesses, steel reinforced footwear).
